As you know by now, the situation with COVID–19 is extremely dynamic. We want you to know that we are committed to making proactive decisions that are grounded in care for the health and safety of our clients and staff. Over the last week, as local and federal officials have called for increased social distancing to help contain the virus, we have been evaluating our office operations on a daily basis. We want to make sure we play a constructive role by taking responsible actions, guided by the CDC and other experts, to continue to do what’s right for you, our valued clients, and staff. Here are some of the steps we are taking to help protect everyone going forward: Virtual Office Operations In the last week, we have transitioned some of our daily operations out of the office and moved them online, which means some staff are now working from home and only going into the office on an as-needed basis. Calling Our Office Although we may not be able to answer our phone lines directly when you call, rest assured we are checking our voicemail messages regularly. Therefore, when you call, please be sure to leave a voicemail message with your name, phone number and the reason for your call, and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Consultations & Client Meetings We are still meeting with new and current clients, however, instead of in-person meetings, we are now scheduling all appointments to be conducted either by phone or by video conference. Supplying Requested Documents We are asking clients to email at elder.law@verizon.net , mail or fax at (845) 292-9349 requested documents whenever possible. For those who need to drop them off at the office, they may do so using the drop box near the front door. These are truly uncharted times and we’re learning right alongside you as we navigate COVID–19 together. As the situation continues to evolve, we may make additional changes, but through it all we promise to lead with what’s in the best interest of our clients and staff. |
